POSITION-Union: Storeroom Attendant A (SCG-CT-Marsh Hill) 36814



HOURS: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00p.m.



  1. Performs work of lower classification as required. 
  2. Takes continuing and/or periodic inventory as directed. 
  3. Assists supervision in normal operation of storeroom. 
  4. Notifies supervisor of stock and tool irregularities and of low supplies. 
  5. Keeps tools and work equipment clean and in condition for use at all times. 
  6. Notifies supervisor of parts or repairs required on tools and equipment. 
  7. Requisitions such parts and makes arrangements for repairs.
  8. Requisitions materials and tools from suppliers as directed. 
  9. Makes deliveries and pick-ups to other companies and to other departments as directed. 
  10. Does work of Storeroom Attendant B in various storerooms of the Company as required. 
  11. Notifies supervisor of appliance stock irregularities and of high or low supply of same. 
  12. Takes appliance inventory. Records incoming and outgoing appliances on Appliance Record File Cards. 
  13. Edits Appliance Issues.

Skills and Requirements

  1. Must be able to perform the duties of Storeroom Attendant B in a completely satisfactory manner.
  2. Must have general knowledge of storekeeping operations involved in receiving, caring for, and issuing supplies. 
  3. Must have thorough knowledge of gas appliances, appliance parts, fittings, valves, pipe and all types of materials and supplies used by the Company. 
  4. Must have ability to work independently and without supervision. 
  5. Must have ability to make repairs on appliances and minor repairs on tools and small portable equipment and to make proper recommendations when more extensive repairs are necessary. 
  6. There are physical requirements for lifting that is not on this posting—lifting  up to 75  pounds.
