Due to an exciting period of growth, we are looking to recruit a real estate and planning solicitor to support ScottishPower’s Renewables business. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for providing legal support in respect of all real estate and planning matters on our major infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, offshore and onshore wind, solar and battery storage - all of which are integral to delivering the UK’s ambitious Net Zero targets. 

We are looking for lawyers with either previous exposure to any of the following areas or an appetite to develop their skills in one of these fields: 

• Real estate
• Planning
• Environmental consenting
• Infrastructure projects
•  Agricultural property

Candidates should be proactive, dynamic, and keen to work with a diverse range of business partners.

Lawyers within the ScottishPower legal team are viewed as being key members of the businesses’ project teams, and you will have the autonomy to identify and lead in the implementation of innovative legal processes and best practice. You will also have regular contact and on-going working relationships with senior managers and executives across the ScottishPower and Iberdrola Group.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, collaborative, motivated and professional team, with the opportunity to progress and develop into new roles within the wider ScottishPower legal team.
