Purpose 


ScottishPower are hiring an IT Contracts Manager to manage the commercial relationship within SPEN Centre of Excellence (CoE) and its suppliers. 

For our global IT suppliers, you’ll be the main UK point of contact and be responsible for managing those strategic relationships. Within the UK, you’ll lead the effective daily management of all UK maintenance and support contracts including cloud service management. 

In addition, there is an element of system administration services for the portfolio of applications used within SPEN CoE that needs effectively managed. Training and development available if required.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining a consolidated view of CoE expenditure with each supplier (encompassing maintenance and support contracts, cloud services, development contracts) to ensure that SPEN’s relationship with the supplier is fully understood.
  • Acting as the Global representative for CoE to consolidate UK supplier expenditure information with other global teams, to produce a global view of supplier relationships.
  • Developing strategies for supplier negotiation, which leverage the relationship information collated to deliver added value from the supplier relationship via improved/preferential terms.
  • Manage all IT contract placement, extension and/or renewal from establishing the renewal timetable, through agreement of any required scope/price changes in conjunction with the relevant teams, to obtaining approval for the renewal from the relevant governance body.
  • Ensure that the ongoing M&S impact of all IT contracts, global and local, is fully understood and considered in CoE budgets.
  • Monitoring supplier service delivery against the performance targets and goals set out in each contract and/or by the Head of CoE. 
  • Ensuring timely verification, processing, and payment of supplier invoices in line with Iberdrola Group standards.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between CoE and Purchasing, always ensuring adherence to the Group procurement standards and model.
  • Overall management of the Application support team to ensure the provision of outstanding service levels to the SPEN business user community.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators which monitor system performance, administration routines, defect rectification, process adherence and exception management to ensure the optimal performance of the CoE processes and systems.
  • Ensure administration team participate in system testing and handover activities for project deployments to support the deployment of systems and changes into production.
  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth transfer of all system related changes (major and minor) into business-as-usual operations, including the establishment of service management routines (provided by UKIT and other 3rd Party Suppliers) and defect triage processes and procedures.
     

Skills and Requirements


To be successful in applying for this role, you’ll have experience in IT contract management for high value contracts. Global contract management experience desirable. Experience of day to date operations management in a service environment preferred. 

 

You’ll have extensive knowledge of negotiation processes and strategies gained from prior experience in a contract management, procurement, or financial role. 

 

You’ll have excellent analytical skills, capable of performing accurate analysis and drawing conclusions to extract the maximum value from supplier relationships and adopt the use KPI’s to drive continual performance. 

 

A strong communicator, able to influence and negotiate and collaborate at an executive and senior management level. Strong leadership skills to motivate and drive a culture of outstanding customer service.
