• The Talent Manager role is critical to our organizational sustainability as the point person for managing the process for identification and development of AVANGRID Top Talent and Successors.
• The Manager will work across the Talent & Organization Performance team to understand the developmental needs of Top Talent, and meet those needs with innovative, relevant, business-driven programs.
• The incumbent will collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment with business goals and with Talent & Organization Performance colleagues to ensure alignment with the overall talent strategy and desired employee experience.
• The position is located in Orange, CT with occasional travel to all service area locations.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Talent Development to provide professional expertise in the development and implementation of annual talent review whereby you partner with business leaders to identify and assess talent, discuss succession pools for critical and key roles, identify talent gaps and their associated risk, work with the Learning & Development Sr. Manager to create and monitor impactful development plans for the identified talent.
Needs Analysis – develop an in-depth understanding of the development needs of AVANGRID Top Talent at all levels. Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partner to ensure business alignment, buy-in, and support.
Programming – work with Learning and Development (L&D) team to address the defined needs and develop and/or source programs specifically for Top Talent. Align programs as appropriate with the Global HiPo programs.
Collaborate across the Iberdrola enterprise to understand how each company works with Top Talent – leverage best practices and knowledge sharing.
Work hands-on with Top Talent to remain in touch with their career aspirations, career path opportunities and unique developmental concerns.
Translate business needs and talent analytics into impactful talent management programs and tools
Develop robust set of KPIs to demonstrate the value of Top Talent programs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments to ensure success.
Support the Director of Talent Development in executing all associated activities – mentoring programs, 360 assessment, Korn Ferry Leadership assessment, etc.

Skills and Requirements
BS/BA Degree + 3-5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience/Training:
Excellent written and verbal communication – writing samples may be requested.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with collaborative work style
Proactive project management
Must be able to work independently and also within a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent active listening and facilitation skills
Demonstrate extremely strong analytical skills, as well as personal organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Workday talent module
Experience working in a global organization balancing collaboration and coordination between global and local initiatives, best practices and recommendations.
Experience leading a team desired in a corporate environment
Able to speak Spanish highly desired
