A significant role within the Avangrid Renewables Offshore business, this role will assist Site and New Projects Teams in the management and development of their budgets. This role will include working closely with Contracts, Site, Control, Insurance and Procurement

Belonging to the O&M Asset Management Team and reporting to the Director of Asset Management , the  O&M budget & cost Analyst will assist in developing OPEX for projects under different phases of development, building and analysing yearly budgets and evaluating P&L for operational projects. In addition, the individual will be the back office support to Site Team in order to manage OPEX risks and optimise the O&M yearly budget.

The individual will be working as part of a global business with activities in US offshore. The role requires the individual to manage multi-disciplinary teams and the individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations.


  • Development of the OPEX model, yield and logistics modelling for assigned projects. 
  • Develop the logistics costs modelling and the maintenance strategy: WTG technology understanding and BoP risk maintenance based concept. 
  • Assist the Principal Project Managers in the development of the documentation for lenders due diligences: O&M Strategy, OPEX, Factbook. 
  • Liaise with contract managers and sourcing managers and understanding the Services Contracts to include inputs in the OPEX model.  
  • Responsible for evaluating the costs of the service maintenance agreements.
  • Liaise with Project Services and Investment office for the OPEX and yield inputs to business cases.
  • Evaluates financial impact of strategic choices and suggests alternatives for Offshore Operations.
  • Provide proactively recommendations and advice on OPEX management.
  • Responsible for controlling OPEX and ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of financial and commercial reporting for senior management.
  • Support to the Principal Project Manager and Management analysing and benchmarking operational results.
  • Preparation and review of Opex/Capex Accruals, Budget, Forecast and variance analysis.
  • Monitor monthly closings and P&L accounts for operational projects.
  • Maintain relationships with following internal teams: Global Offshore O&M, Project Services, Technical Services, Procurement, Control, Insurance, Investment and Planning, and Legal.
  • 5-year planning horizon includes budgeting of offshore wind assets.  
  • Ability to assimilate a wide and varied range of information from many sources to enable effective commercial decision making.
  • Identify efficiencies and improvements in processes, procedures, estimation strategies, and resources to ensure operational expenditure and capital investment is managed efficiently and that maximum operational revenues are achieved.

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles (industry and company) required, although actual accounting undertaken by a separate team.
  • Results oriented and excellent analytical, strategic, business planning, communication, and teamwork/collaboration skills.

  • SAP experience an advantage.
