Responsibilities

We are looking for a developer that can take a project from idea to deployment. This Business
Intelligence Software and Database Developer will be responsible for developing applications using SQL, VBA, ASP.NET, C#, SSRS, SSIS, SSMS and SSAS and learning/utilizing other development environments, as necessary. This person will coordinate with business, technology and the support teams to ensure system solutions meet business requirements. They will also document current software and business processes and identify opportunities to improve existing applications and processes. 
Responsible for providing business data and analytics; tracking and prioritization of requests, balancing project requests and daily application maintenance.
Develop, test, document, implement and support advanced database and applications providing ad hoc/custom reporting, data intelligence and analytics satisfying strategic needs across multiple business areas.
Provide expertise in the Business Intelligence best practices, methodologies, standards, and suite tools.

 

Lead a team translating business requirements into advanced application developments choosing appropriate technical solutions and platforms providing accurate and timely solutions to the functional business areas. (20%)
Provide daily Reporting and Analytics support for data pertaining to the Customer Service business area. Effectively identify, communicate, prioritize, document, and resolve reporting and data issues as related to business, IT, and/or external vendors. (20%)
Identify innovative solutions to challenging data requests and explain complex concepts and risks both simply and accurately to non-technical end users. (10%)
Provide project leadership to implement, improve, and/or utilize analysis, requirements / documentation, testing, implementation, and post implementation duties. (10%)
The development and execution of automated and/or manual reports; ensuring delivery of timely, accurate and relevant business intelligence. (10%)
Perform advanced reporting analytics support to all functional business areas, organizations, and departments relating to Customer Service data. (10%)
Leads complex technical, functional or data assessments and provides training/mentoring to other co-workers. (5%)
Leads team in developing, maintaining and updating documentation including technical documentation, business process procedures, reference and training materials. (5%)
Serves as backup to Sr BI Developer as needed.
Implements, communicates, reviews and enforces standards for data security, deployment of data reporting and analytics. (5%)
Ensures systems and applications are designed and implemented to achieve system performance, availability, recoverability, regulatory and compliance requirements. (5%)
 

Skills and Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with a minimum of 2+ years relevant experience preferred. 
o    Associates Degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with additional years of relevant experience and/or technical certifications would be considered.
•    Requires minimum of 2-4 years database and software development technical work experience.
o    Experience with Structured Programming Language VB and C# preferred. Other structured programming languages acceptable.
o    Demonstrated experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
o    Experience with SQL with Microsoft SQL preferred such as SSMS, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS but other database experience considered
Skills and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling the Software Development Life Cycle phases.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
Strong detailed orientation, analytical, and planning skills related to Data Warehousing concepts.
Working knowledge of data extraction techniques (ETL), data quality and presentation.
Proven self-directed ability to learn new technologies, solve complex technical issues and present complex information in an understandable compelling manner.
General knowledge of technical hardware architecture, Windows operating system, network analysis and security concepts are beneficial.
Data warehousing, data mining, reporting, data intelligence, and automation using SQL, C#, ASP.Net, Visual Basic, SAP BW, MS Visual Studio, and Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) which includes SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) data modeling is desirable.
Knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
